Our Tarpon-Only charters are very limited
and sell out fast!

We have helped out with the the University of Miami's Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science and their Atlantic Tarpon Satellite Tagging program, attaching transponders to tarpon for the purpose of tracking migration patterns.

We have also supplied the Florida Fish and Wildlife (FWC) and Mote Marine Laboratory with 100's of Tarpon DNA samples from the Bahia Honda. We even won an award for providing them with so many samples.

Each April, May, and June, we offer Tarpon fishing charters at the Bahia Honda State Park Bridge area of Big Pine Key, FL. At this time, Tarpon are Thick! Pre and post spawn Tarpon gather in huge schools each Spring in the Bahia Honda Chanel. Our unique methods of fishing for these monsters make your chances of hooking up to a Tarpon on our charters near 100%. Hooking up to multiple tarpon is what we do day in and day out!

Within 10 minutes from the time we push off, you are fishing for these mammoth fish. The fight of the mighty Tarpon is a true battle, and an experience of a lifetime. Tarpon are strictly "Catch and release" sport fish, and the satisfaction of releasing a fully revived healthy fish after a photo, is almost better than the battle itself. We offer personalized 1st class charters. You will be treated with care and respect, and will have a great time for sure!
We can handle any just about any size group, from one guest/one captain, to large groups on multiple boats and captains. We fish close to the Bahia Honda State Park, so during your entire charter, we are always within a few short minutes of clean, indoor rest room facilities.
Reproduction Trophy Mounts: Many of our customers choose to have us measure and photograph their Tarpon before we release it so we can order a beautiful custom made "no kill" reproduction mount for them. If you think you may want one of these stunning works of art, please let us know prior to your charter so we can take all necessary measurements and make the arrangements for you.

Bahia Honda Tarpon charters is a group of the friendliest and most knowledgeable charter captains & fishing guides.
We are located just south of Marathon, Florida in the lower / central FL Keys in Big Pine Key. It is just a 40 minute drive from Key West, 15 minutes from Summerland and Cudjoe Key, 30 minutes from Hawks Cay resort and Duck Key, 20 minutes from Marathon and Faro Blanco, 45 minutes from Islamorada, 1.5 hrs from Key Largo, & 2 hours from South Miami.
